Asus Zenfone 6 Lollipop Upgrade - ASUS has officially released the Android 5.0 Lollipop for Zenfone 6 (A600CG) software Image V3.23.40.52. Firmware update this time is the most awaited by Zenfone 6 users because this is the latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

  1. SuperNote: change to link-downloading version
  2. Asuswebstorage: change to link-downloading version
  3. Remote Link: change to link-downloading version
  4. Lockscreen: remove standalone wallpaper & weather info (only for 1GB RAM device)
  5. Quick settings/Recent app layout change (only for 1GB RAM device)
  6. Dialer/Contacts: reduce tab count from 5 to 3; remove group tab name/photo; remove foreground service (only for 1GB RAM device)
  7. InCall screen: remove inCall animation & cover (only for 1GB RAM device)
  8. Fix the problem of losing some files after changing the folder name in File Manager
  9. Add KKBOX (link-downloading) (Taiwan only)
  10. Add Dr. eye (link-downloading) (Taiwan only)
  11. Add Zinio (link-downloading)
  12. Add PubuBookBuffet (link-downloading) (Taiwan only)
  13. Add eReadingNow (link-downloading) (Taiwan only)
  14. Add ASUS Game Center (link-downloading) (Taiwan only)
    • Offer hot and highly qualified games picked by a team of gaming experts
    • Offer event privileges and goodies of virtual treasures
    • Support membership with ASUS, Facebook and Google+ accounts to log in
    • Offer VIP services: 24/7 online customer service
    • Support purchase history to overview for games downloaded from ASUS Game Center
* No longer support NTFS format SD card.

This upgrade will cause some problems of ASUS Contacts widget.
  1. Before upgrade, add 4*1 ASUS Contacts widget to Home; after upgrade, the ASUS Contacts widget will always show “loading”.
    Solution: Remove old 4*1 ASUS Contacts widget and re-add new 4*1 ASUS Contacts widget to Home.
  2. After upgrade, the information in 4*3 ASUS Contacts widget will disappear.
    Solution: Re-add information into 4*3 ASUS Contacts widget.
Please backup your SD card data before upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop with following steps:
  1. Connect your ZenFone and computer with USB cable
  2. Enter your ZenFone storage via computer
  3. Select all data and copy it. Paste all your SD card data to your computer
* No longer support NTFS format SD card.

Steps of Update:
  1. Check software version of your device**
  2. Download device software and Update SOP (From “Manual” Item)
  3. Only apply to same SKU update, Example: WW->WW, CN->CN, TW->TW.
  4. Software update cannot transfer the software SKU and downgrade the software version.
  5. Wrong SKU may cause update failure, please update the same SKU version only.

Note: Before upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop make sure you have updated firmware version V2.22.40.44 first.

      Did your update works, guys? I tried on my Z002, it says update successful but after checking my device's info, it's still on KitKat. Like nothing happened.

    can i upgrade it to Kitkat/Lollipop manually?
    because i can't upgrade it via OTA either

    I have downloaded the file UL-ASUS_T00G-WW-3.23.40.52-user.zip and copied to root (same place where all base folders are, but the phone does not recognize it automatically.

      Yes, u can upgrade to lollipop.

      You wrong downloaded file, you should download the firmware TW version, not WW

    Hello guys, i have upgraded my Zenfone6 to Lollipop, I didn't like it so I decideded to downgrade back to kitkat. I have downloaded file from Asus official site and started downgrade, but i can't turn on my phone only appears "ASUS IN SEARCH OF INCREDIBLE"and then it restarts . i tried to connect to PC, charge, but nothing worked. have you any ideas how can i turn on? I even tried hard reset by pressing power button and volume button, but nothing happens .
    Please tell what can I do now.

      You can try press power button for 30 second, if HH off, try enter fastboot

    I'm in TW SKU but I want a WW SKU. I've read some tutorial, which said if I want to apply WW SKU in TW/CN SKU, I just have to rename the zip file with name e.g: ASUS_T00G_TW_user_2.22.40.44_XXXXX.zip to ASUS_T00G_WW_user_2.22.40.44_XXXXX.zip

    So, is it really works?
