Asus Zenfone 5 Lollipop Upgrade - ASUS has released a latest firmware update for Zenfone5 (A500CG) software Image: V3.23.40.52. Android 5.0 Lollipop update this time is the most awaited by Zenfone 5 users because this is the latest version of Android.

If you can not wait to try out Android 5.0 Lollipop on Zenfone 5 (T00F), at this time Asus Zenfone Blog will share an Android Lollipop update for Zenfone 5 (A500CG) and how to install it. Please note that Android 5.0 Lollipop does not support some pre-installed apps.

Please backup your SD card data before upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop with following steps:
  1. Connect your ZenFone and computer with USB cable
  2. Enter your ZenFone storage via computer
  3. Select all data and copy it. Paste all your SD card data to your computer

Steps of Update:
  1. Check software version of your device**
  2. Download device software and Update SOP (From “Manual” Item)
  3. Only apply to same SKU update, Example: WW->WW, CN->CN, TW->TW.
  4. Software update cannot transfer the software SKU and downgrade the software version.
  5. Wrong SKU may cause update failure, please update the same SKU version only.

    Thanks for the most awaited update, Lollipop..
    The changes in the update is quite significant in the user interface but the performance and battery life is still not worthy of praise. I told Asus to implement Android Lollipop 5.0.2 or the most current version and not the 5.0.

    Guys i've rooted my mobile in the past and immediately unrooted it. When i tried to update my firmware, it says update failed. Then I tried to update it manually and also by using ADB. Still I cant update it. When I tried to update it through ADB, it says unable to read "file.zip". I renamed the zip file name before installing. I tried it without changing the name.     i update with L. But some guys told me extract the user.zip file or some told not to extract. the problem is i extract the file it was about 1.21 gb shown after extract. then i reboot the phone. after start that notification for update is appear. then i update. then i saw the firmware file is missing extract & zip both. and now the internal memory is vacant less than 2 GB. please help anyone how to solve this problem

      You don't have to extract it either rename just copy the file and save it to internal storage not inside in any other folder so that it will be automatically detected when you pulling out usb cable.

    I'm using lollipop update.it take 10-15 minutes to update ur device to lollipop.don't restart or switch off ur device during the installation.otherwise u will lost ur Android OS.I had already faced same problem (No Command).
