How to Relock Bootloader Asus Zenfone  5 & Zenfone 6 - At yesterday Asus Zenfone Blog has sharing How to Unlock Bootloader On Zenfone. Maybe after doing so there are some considerations regarding device which has been Unlock Bootloader one of them is not able to claim warranty. And you are confused to find How to Relock Bootloader so your Zenfone not considered counterfeit goods and can claim warranty.

Steps Relock Bootloader On Asus Zenfone

  1. Download the Latest ROM/Firmware (V1.17.40.1X or latest version)
  2. Copy if.bin from system/etc/firmware and ifwi.zip from ROM folder to Fastboot folder.
  3. The phone turned into bootloader (through when adb reboot bootloader or boot while holding down the volume up+ power button) and connect to a computer through a USB cable and open cmd by press shift + right click, open comand here at ADB Fastboot folder).
  4. Unlock bootloader syntax: (ZenFone 6 please dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin replace by dnx_fwr_ctp_a600cg.bin )
    5. fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin
    fastboot flash ifwi if.bin
    fastboot reboot-bootloader
  5. Re-Lock Bootloader syntax: (ZenFone 6 please dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin replace by dnx_fwr_ctp_a600cg.bin / ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin replace by ifwi_ctp_a600cg.bin )
    6. fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin
    fastboot flash ifwi ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin
    fastboot reboot-bootloader

Steps Relock Bootloader On Asus Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6

  1. Enter into Droidboot / Fastboot Mode (pressing Power + Volume Up)
  2. Connect your Zenfone via the USB cable to the computer/PC
  3. Open RelockZenfone5.zip file that has you downloaded previously (If you use Zenfone 5 open RelockZenfone5.zip file)
  4. Run relock.bat file and press any key on the computer / pc to start RELOCKMACHINE
  5. Your Zenfone will reboot automatically

Nb: If see line $$$$$$UNLOCK$$$$$ disappearing its mean succeeded

    i'm stucked on white screen boot logo. since i've get the relock file from the firmware version 2.19.40.18. not from 2.19.40.10. does this cause the problems? :'(
    how do i open back droidboot? i've tried pressing power + volume up multiple of times but still stuck on white screen.

    please help!

    hi i did something baddddddddd i UNLOCK the bootloader with the file of ASUS.NOWi can't do nothing.there is a solution to Lock the bootloader?

    I have a Zenfone 6 (1.18.40.11, rooted) and when do fastboot flash ifwi if.bin, the following erro came: remote:flash_cmd error
    Whats going on?

      use this command
      fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin or a600cg.bin
      fastboot flash ifwi ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin or a600cg.bin
