Asus Zenfone Flash Tutorials - When you're engrossed modify Asus Zenfone you have problems bootloop or softbrick, you may new users of Asus Zenfone will be very confused. because Asus ZenFone sehigga Intel Atom chipset is different from other android devices. Because Asus ZenFone uses the Intel Atom chipset so different flashing ways with other android devices.
This experience I had when modification SytemUI on Asus Zenfone 5 and then bootloop, I am very confused fortunately I found Asus Zenfone Flash Tutorial via ADB Sideload it on the internet.

Preparing tools :
- Intel USB Driver for Android ( Download Here )
- ADB Fastboot Tool (Download Here)
- Asus Zenfone Firmware (Download From Asus Website, and Put it in the same folder with adb fastboot tools) Zenfone 5, Zenfone 6 (Select OS Android and Choose Your zenfone Model)
- Turn off your Zenfone
- Go to Droidboot / Fastboot Mode (pressing power + volume up)
- Connect your Zenfone with USB Cable to your PC/laptop
- Open command prompt in Windows (in the same folder where ADB is located)
- Check connection by type adb devices if connection successful will be a list of zenfone device
- Type adb sideload file.zip (file.zip = adjust the filename, asus zenfone firmware that you download earlier)
- Wait until the process is complete
- Zenfone will flash to clean thoroughly

DeleteHi! I noticed that when I type "adb devices" my zenfone should be on the list with proper serial number, but I only got "123456789abcdef" I cannot see the serial number of my Zenfone. I think this is the problem why I cannot flash the firmware through side load, please help me on this. Thanks!

First, I have tried update manually but it says installation failed with status 1 and cannot load volume /misc!. ReplyDeleteFor those who facing adb devices empty problem, please follow this step:
ReplyDelete1. Download both 4.3 & latest firmware because zenfone need upgrade version to version. Cannot skip.
2. Go to fastboot mode by press & hold Power & Volume up till it boot up then release.
3. Choose Recovery.
4. You will see there is a driver need to install at device manager. Install asus adb driver. Then you will able to see the adb devices.
5. Press & hold volume down & Press only Volume up while still Holding Volume down.
6. Choose apply update from ADB.
7. Proceed to install by typing adb sideload file.zip.(file.zip will be your firmware name. Rename it ).
8. Wait till it finish & it will install automatically then reboot.
9. Done.
10. Enjoy..

Im having a problem during adb sideload. The process stops at 54% telling "failed to read command".
