[ROM] CyanogenMod 12.1 for Asus Zenfone 4

How to Flash CyanogenMod 12.1 in ZenFone 4

Warning: When you install a CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM on your your Zenfone 4 device, it voids your warranty.
Files Needed:
  • Intel USB Driver for Android (Download HERE)
  • ADB Tools (Download HERE)
  • CM12.1 Custom ROM for Zenfone 4 (Download HERE)
Instructions:
  1. Download all the files needed above
  2. Your Zenfone 4 must be update to Firmware V7.3.3 (Download HERE)
  3. Unlock Bootloader your Zenfone 4 (Download HERE)
  4. Extract Unlock bootloader tool > install apk> unlock
  5. Extract the ADB tools and then move the files boot.img, system.img and recovery_twrp_fixtouch.img files put it in ADB folder
  6. Turn off your Zenfone
  7. Go to Fastboot mode (Pressing the Power button + Volume up/down, until the android logo)
  8. Connect Zenfone to PC/Laptop with USB cable
  9. at ADB folder open CMD (pressing Shift+Right Click > Open command here)
  10. At command terminal type this:
    • fastboot flash system system.img
    • fastboot flash boot boot.img
    • fastboot flash recovery recovery_twrp_fixtouch.img
  11. Wait until finish and reboot
  12. Factory reset your device
  13. Done

  1. Do this before flashing system.img into your phone. Otherwise it will loop into the boot animation screen.

    - Open Apps Settings always Force Close
    - SD Card (Eksternal) not detected
    - Sometime Gapps get Force Close

    If someone know how to fix this bugs, please share to me :)

    Before flashing all the .img, don't forget to:
    fastboot erase data
    fastboot erase userdata
    fastboot erase cache
    fastboot erase system

    It can prevent bootloop.
