Asus Zenfone 5 KitKat Update - ASUS has released a KitKat firmware update for ASUS ZenFone 5 (T00F/T00J) software Image: V2.19.40.6 (KitKat Update)
Note: Please make sure update software version V1.18.40.10 first before update to software version V2.19.40.6

Improvement Item:
  1. System update to Android 4.4
  2. Improved Miracast compatibility
  3. Added support for DLNA protocol
  4. Fix Russian translation

Key New functions:
  1. Do Not Disturb mode
  2. Call Guard(applies to models sold in China and Taiwan only)
  3. Full dual standby with two SIM cards(applies to dual SIM models only)
  4. Filter effects for videos
  5. Reply via Call-in SIM card, system will auto select the right phone Steps of Update:
    1. Check software version of your device**
    2. Download device software and Update SOP (From “Manual” Item)
    3. Only apply to same SKU update, Example: WW->WW, CN->CN, TW->TW, CHT->CHT.
    4. Software update cannot transfer the software SKU and downgrade the software version.
    5. Wrong SKU may cause update failure, please update the same SKU version only.

    Please, check if the APN configuration works using the data SIM in the slot 2 of the phone, not in the slot 1. In my Zenfone 6 it worked. It let me access to the APN config menu and add the APN parameters. Now it is working fine. I think it is possible that data transfer is only possible through the SIM2 slot

    i updated my zenfone 5 to KK
    after this my wifi is disabled and didn't find any devices
    i removed my sim card and reset factory and re-install update, after this wifi is fixed but when i inserted sim card, wifi disabled again.
    plz help me

    After upgrading my Zen5 ROM from 1.18.40.9 to 1.18.40.10 and then to 2.19.40.6 which is the new KitKat update, WiFi and hotspot tethering became unusable!
    When I turn on WiFi it persist on searching for WiFi networks but can not find any devices.... and when I turn on WiFi hotspot it will began to turn on and off continuously and wont stop till I turn it off myself!
    I tried to downgrade to previous version of ROM (1.18.40.10) but couldn''t.
    It seems that official bootloader unlocker is not working on this KitKat version.
    The problem is too annoying.
    What should I do?

      download f/w 1.18.40.10, extrak, place the extracted files to internal memory, remove usb cable then you can see "System upgrade available" message, and then press OK button
