Asus Rumored To Launch a 5.5-Inch Zenfone At CES in January

Sales on the family ZenFone Asus seems to have brought the inspiration for the Taiwanese company. Market analysts expect Asustek to ship 7.5-8 million ZenFone smartphones in 2014.

Among the one million units shipped to the Taiwan market, about 70% were 3G models and the rest 4G LTE ones. The three best-selling 3G models were the 16G ZenFone 5, the 16G ZenFone 6 and the 8G ZenFone 5. The PadFone S was the most popular LTE smartphone from Asustek, followed by the 16G ZenFone 5.

According to a new report from Taiwanese publication Digitimes, Asustek plans to unveil its second-generation ZenFone at CES 2015 in January 2015 and will add a 5.5-inch model under the product line. Asustek is planning to increase LTE models’ shipment proportion to above 40% and will promote them more aggressively in markets such as China and the US.
ZenFone that offers budget friendly from ASUS, and come in three different sizes, 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch. Thus, the 5.5-inch models will definitely be a worthy sacrifice for those who are looking for a smartphone decent size – not too small, not too big.

The report further states that Asus plans to aggressively market the new device in the United States, as well as in China – both in the highly competitive market.
