How to Install CWM Recovery For Asus Zenfone 5

  1. Your Zenfone 5 must be Rooted (Tutorial HERE)
  2. Enable USB Debugging (Tutorial HERE)
  3. Install Intel USB driver on your PC/Computer
  4. Extract zenfone_5_cwm_installer.zip file which has downloaded before.
  5. Intall and open RootExplore
  6. Move the files adbon.sh (replace select yes) and recovery.tar to the directory folder /system /bin / and then set the permissions rwxr-xr-x
  7. Move busybox files to a folder directory /system /xbin/ and then set permissions rwxr-xr-x
  8. In the directory folder /system/ find recovery-from-boot.p and then rename it to recovery-from-boot.bak
  9. Done, and then reboot your Zenfone 5

    after following directions, i ended in a bootloop, i didnt have recover from boot.p inside /system so i downloaded one from the net, i didnt know if recover from boot.p is universal perhaps you can upload one coming from your zenfone 5?

    i still manage to save my phone by wiping data factory reset then i restored data with nandroid backup, but now my videos got deleted...

    pls upload your recover from boot.p tnx
