Asus Zenfone Flash Tutorial via ADB Sideload

Asus Zenfone Flash Tutorials - When you're engrossed modify Asus Zenfone you have problems bootloop or softbrick, you may new users of Asus Zenfone will be very confused. because Asus ZenFone sehigga Intel Atom chipset is different from other android devices. Because Asus ZenFone uses the Intel Atom chipset so different flashing ways with other android devices.

This experience I had when modification SytemUI on Asus Zenfone 5 and then bootloop, I am very confused fortunately I found Asus Zenfone Flash Tutorial via ADB Sideload it on the internet.

Preparing tools :
  1. Intel USB Driver for Android ( Download Here )
  2. ADB Fastboot Tool (Download Here)
  3. Asus Zenfone Firmware (Download From Asus Website, and Put it in the same folder with adb fastboot tools) Zenfone 5,  Zenfone 6 (Select OS Android and Choose Your zenfone Model)
Asus Zenfone Flash Tutorial:
  1. Turn off your Zenfone
  2. Go to Droidboot / Fastboot Mode (pressing power + volume up)
  3. Connect your Zenfone with USB Cable to your PC/laptop
  4. Open command prompt in Windows (in the same folder where ADB is located)
  5. Check connection by type adb devices if connection successful will be a list of zenfone device
  6. Type adb sideload file.zip (file.zip = adjust the filename, asus zenfone firmware that you download earlier)
  7. Wait until the process is complete
  8. Zenfone will flash to clean thoroughly
This method can be used to downgrade , or that an error during install root ( root will disappear completely )

    Hi, zenfone 5 is stuck at logo after a manip with root explorer, and the reset factory did not work, can I use this solution to restore then? Seems like it is woth a try! Thanks

      Extract ADB Fastboot Tool.rar into folder C: / Program Files / Intel Android Device USB driver,, then repeat step number 4 and to complete

      Firmware file that you downloaded should be copied in C: / Program Files / Intel Android Device USB driver<

      Yes, I followed the instruction carefully,the firmware is placed where adb is located but I always encountered this kind of error. Any alternative to flash the Rom of Zenfone 6? Thank you so much for your help!

      Hi! I noticed that when I type "adb devices" my zenfone should be on the list with proper serial number, but I only got "123456789abcdef" I cannot see the serial number of my Zenfone. I think this is the problem why I cannot flash the firmware through side load, please help me on this. Thanks!

    Hellow Mr. Ari. Would appriciate if you could help me with installing the update through adb sideload. First, I have tried update manually but it says installation failed with status 1 and cannot load volume /misc!. The I tried using adb sideload but then the installation aborted due to also cannot load volume. Do you have any idea why this is happening? thans in advance.

    Pls help my problem is zenfone 5 bootloop i have tried flashing with many version of sku ww
    but i get same error message like below

    Hello, i've a problem with my asus zenfone, the console says: "list of devices attached" and this no show the asus zenfone name, i typed adb sideload (file.zip) without () and the console shows; "Error: device not found"

    I do have a problem in my z5, it's display and cam got yellowish and my front cam become pinkish since i updated it to v18.40 and i just ignore that because i'm looking forward Asus will fix it in the kitkat update but i was wrong. i don't know what will do know to my phone.

    Hello, I'm not really a pro in the computers domain, I don't really understant step 5, I tried to enter "PROMPT" in the black box, then nothing seems to happen, but I don't know what to do on next step, my phone is propoerly plugged to the computer and I downloaded everything necessary, I absolutely need to put my phone in "WW" , it's in "CN" now, can't find any help, completely lost, thx if you can help me.

    Actually it seems that even if my phone is connected, the only thing that is noted after I typed adb devices is "List of attached devices" , butthere is not my asus zenfone 6 !

    I followed all ur steps,when i'm typing "adb devices" but it's showing list of devices attached & then its blank, thus there is no devices connected.....I mean to say its not configuring my device... can anyone help me out.....

    For those who facing adb devices empty problem, please follow this step:
    1. Download both 4.3 & latest firmware because zenfone need upgrade version to version. Cannot skip.
    2. Go to fastboot mode by press & hold Power & Volume up till it boot up then release.
    3. Choose Recovery.
    4. You will see there is a driver need to install at device manager. Install asus adb driver. Then you will able to see the adb devices.
    5. Press & hold volume down & Press only Volume up while still Holding Volume down.
    6. Choose apply update from ADB.
    7. Proceed to install by typing adb sideload file.zip.(file.zip will be your firmware name. Rename it ).
    8. Wait till it finish & it will install automatically then reboot.
    9. Done.
    10. Enjoy..

    my hp really solve after trying this method. Tq again.
    Zenfone 5 T00J got bootloop after upgrade to Lollipop.then i flash back to kitkat Ver 2.22.40.54
